Sleep in a Repurposed Log Cabin From the 1800s When You Book a Stay in This Virginia Airbnb
Spend a few days off the grid.
There's something about a log cabin that makes for the perfect mountain house. The sturdy walls, solid floors, and warm, inviting interior create the ideal environment for disconnecting from the busy world outside. When you book a stay at the Sanctuary, a repurposed log cabin from the 1800s, you'll see exactly what we mean.
Welcome to your new favorite escape, the Sanctuary! Perched at a high elevation on 60 private acres in Vesuvius, this Virginia Airbnb is the ultimate place to disconnect. It's a place where you can unwind, relax, and connect with those you care about the most—or is even a place where you can experience a solo getaway.
What makes this cabin so unique is that it was built using materials from an old 1800s cabin, and this repurposed space is the perfect blend of old and new. You'll love the modern touches grounded by the historic wood and stonework.
As you walk inside, you'll immediately feel right at home. The space has two bedrooms and 2.5 baths and can accommodate up to eight guests.
Of course, the best amenity of all is the gorgeous mountain views. The property borders the parkway, so a treasure trove of mountain adventures is just a quick drive away. But with such a peaceful set-up to enjoy, you may be tempted to stay at the cabin for your whole stay! And we wouldn't blame you—this is a true escape no matter the time of the year.
A few things to note: the gravel driveway to the house is a bit steep, so four-wheel drive is recommended. Also, there's no Wi-Fi and limited cell service, although a landline is available. However, in our opinion, being off-the-grid is one of the most appealing parts of this space!
