We've found a private, tranquil log cabin in Rileyville, Virginia, perfect for stargazing. Bear Mountain Retreat has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and stunning indoor and outdoor spaces.

The log cabin Airbnb sits on four quiet acres in northern Virginia near Shenandoah National Park. Its location is both secluded, with breathtaking mountain and valley views, and convenient—a short drive takes guests to the towns of Luray and Front Royal, and several outdoor attractions are nearby.

From the first glimpse of Bear Mountain Retreat, it's clear that this isn't an ordinary log cabin. The Airbnb's interior living space has gleaming wood surfaces, soaring vaulted ceilings, massive windows, and cozy, comfortable furniture. The living room has an indoor gas fireplace, perfect for warming up chilly mornings and evenings. I can picture my family gathered around the coffee table with a board game, enjoying a crackling fire.

Downriver Canoe Company also hosts incredible canoe, kayak, and tube adventures on the Shenandoah River. The area has fantastic hiking opportunities, including the Fox Hollow Trail, a 1.3-mile family-friendly hike in Shenandoah National Park.
