A Night Under the Stars Awaits at This Virginia Retreat
A wood-burning hot tub and floating deck are just a couple of the amenities that make this private wooded retreat so special.
Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, the Gramophone is one of those Airbnbs that looks too beautiful to be real. It's located in a private valley just a short drive from Shenandoah National Park and features a mountaintop creek you can hear from the cabin. It has a private wood-burning hot tub surrounded by trees. It might just be one of the best cabin rentals near Shenandoah National Park.
Located in Stanley, Virginia, just thirty minutes from Shenandoah National Park, the Gramophone has gained 60 five-star reviews. It's one of the most loved homes in Virginia—we're talking the top 10 percent. The space can technically accommodate up to four guests since there's a pull-out couch in the living room, but it's best suited for two. You'll arrive at this stunning three-acre property and immediately feel a profound sense of seclusion and peace. The cabin itself is completely surrounded by nature. Getting there is pretty straightforward, although the hosts require that guests visiting in the winter use four-wheel drive for the last mile of the steep gravel driveway.
Step inside—kindly remove your shoes first!—and prepare to be enchanted by the meticulous design of the space. It's modern yet timeless, with organic colors, textures, and materials. Impressively, the floors, countertops, and trim were all milled from the trees removed to build the cabin. The space is perfectly designed with rest and inspiration in mind. Tons of natural light floods the space, filtered through the surrounding woods. In that sense, it feels like a treehouse.
The bedroom is well-appointed with a California king bed and a cozy reading nook, and the bathroom features a luxurious rainfall shower and freestanding tub. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that a gourmet chef requires, and there's even a Crosley Record Player where you can play your favorite music. There's a smart TV in the living room when you're ready to cozy up for a movie marathon or games if you'd prefer something a bit more interactive.
Step outside for even more wonderful amenities, like the spacious "floating" deck complete with an outdoor dining table and grill, plus a wood-burning hot tub. It's perfect for a soak after an exhilarating hike in Shenandoah National Park.
Does this all sound a bit too good to be true? According to reviews, it's not; in fact, the pictures don't seem to do justice to just how peaceful of an escape this is.
