Located at 717 Maple Street in Stowe, The Brass Lantern Inn is not new to this northern Vermont community. This bed and breakfast first opened its doors in 1988, but the building goes back much further in time. This inn is located inside a circa-1810 brick farmhouse that is charming in every single way.
Donald Jones is one of the current owners of The Brass Lantern Inn and is fourth in the line of innkeepers.
He and his partner Andrew took over operations in 2022, creating a place where it is easy to relax, unwind, and be yourself. They were inspired to take over the inn by a mid-life career shift and with the desire to move to a more progressive state with their family.
Jones works hard to ensure everyone who visits The Brass Lantern Inn has a space where they can truly get away. “Success means that our guests are happy, comfortable, and feel well served in balance with their own need for privacy,” he says.
“We provide a personal touch along with modern amenities, in a great location, and with stunning mountain views.”

Many rooms throughout the property also offer remarkable, wide-open views of the gorgeous Green Mountains.
Don’t be surprised if you want to sit and stare out the window all day – it’s quite stunning.

"To-go" breakfast is also available if you wish to get an early start to your day and access to coffee, tea, and cocoa is available all day.
