Spend The Night In A Yurt At This Gorgeous Utah State Park

Of all of Utah's 45 state parks, Dead Horse Point State Park is my favorite. The sweeping canyon views here are simply unparalleled, and it's an often overlooked park, so it's nowhere near as crowded as the national parks nearby. Camping overnight is a great way to thoroughly explore Utah's natural beauty, and this park offers three yurts to make your camping experience comfortable.

Dead Horse Point State Park sits on the plateau, far above the Colorado River.

You'll find it right between Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.

While you're at the park, explore by taking a few easy hikes.

This is the Visitor Center Nature Trail, a short, easy 1/8 mile stroll.

For a little longer hike, try the East Rim trail.

It's about four miles round trip.

After a long day of hiking and exploring, retire to one of the park's three yurts.

They're available year-round. The nightly rate from November 1st to February 28th is just $99; from March 1st to October 31st, the rate is $120.

These yurts are pretty luxurious.

They include heating, air conditioning and electricity. You'll find bunk beds, a futon bed, and seating.

You'll love the views from your deck.

The deck has outdoor seating, and a grill (propane is included). Restrooms are located just a short walk away.

The night sky is spectacular here.

Enjoy a starry night from your deck.
