You’ll Be At The Top Of The World At This Utah Event

We're always looking for ways to spend more time in Utah's beautiful mountains, and we love the fact that we can get from the Salt Lake Valley to Snowbird Resort in just minutes. There's an event at the resort this month that puts you at the top of the world, and it's perfect for the whole family. Take a look:

Take a drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon this time of year, and you'll find beautiful fall foliage. Snowbird Resort sits at the top, and it's absolutely gorgeous this time of year.

Every year, Snowbird hosts its annual Oktoberfest, and it's much more than just a festival for beer drinking. This event is fun for the whole family.

You'll find plenty to see and do during Oktoberfest. Start by checking out the vendors near the entrance. You'll find lots of handcrafted items and other interesting tidbits from local Utah businesses.

Visit the biergarten for a wide array of beers offered from local brewers. Every year, there's a newly-designed collectable mug. Grab this year's mug, or save a couple of dollars on your beers by bringing a previous year's mug to refill. You'll also want to partake of some tasty German food, including bratwurst, sauerkraut, apple strudel and more.

Everywhere you look, you'll find German influence on the mountain. Don't miss the alphorn, music, and dancing.

Utah families will find plenty of kid-appropriate fun here. You'll find dancing and other kid activities in the big tent, and you can purchase a pass for all the rides during the festival.

Ride the tram to the summit, which sits at 11,000 feet. You really are at the top of the world here. Note that during 2018, the tram will only run until October 8th due to scheduled maintenance.

Don't miss Oktoberfest this year! It's held every weekend from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sunday through October 21st.
