Take Orchard Drive to 1800 South, which turns into Mueller Park Road. Click here for a map.
You'll pay an $8.00 day fee for your car, or just $5.00 for walk-ins.
George Mueller donated this 1,000-acre park to the city in 1927.
You'll find plenty of shady spots for a picnic lunch, or you can camp overnight.
This canyon is a popular place for birdwatching, and you'll find plenty of birds to view here. This is a Wester Tanager.
Listen for the Yellow Warbler's song to catch a glimpse of this brightly-colored little guy.
You might even spot a Bald Eagle! These majestic birds often soar overhead.
Mule deer are frequently spotted here.
You'll likely see some of Mueller Park Canyon's smallest mammal residents - the American Red Squirrel.
Gather your friends and family for a fun camping adventure in one of the group sites.
Take the Elephant Rock Trail for a fun hike.
The trail is 6.8 miles out and back and is rated as moderate. Along the way, you'll traverse a stream, walk through forests of oak, maples and cottonwoods, and see some pretty scenery.
You'll also find several stick shelters to explore.
During the summer, Mueller Park Canyon & Trail is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Dogs are welcome!
