Dine Right On The Mountainside At This Utah Ski Resort This Summer

Summertime is outdoor concert season, and there are venues all over the state where you can settle in on a blanket and enjoy music under the stars. Some venues even let you bring in a picnic dinner, and there's one in particular that will pack your picnic for you. Check it out:

For an incredible evening of entertainment and dining, head to Deer Valley Resort. The 2019 Deer Valley Concert Series goes through September 7th, so there's plenty of time to catch a concert before the summer's end.

Get there early - gates typically open at 5:30 p.m., two hours before the show starts. Bring your blanket and stake out your spot on the lawn to enjoy a picnic. Bring your own food, or order a gourmet feast from the resort.

Choose from two different picnic dinners. The Deluxe Picnic costs $48, and includes an array of gourmet treats.

The Deluxe Picnic includes your choice of smoked salmon, braised beef short rib, or quinoa cauliflower bites, plus artisan cheese, dried fruit, and toasted almonds, a beet salad, garlic rosemary focaccia pull-aparts, and lemon pound cake dessert.

The Gourmet Picnic is $32, and includes some delicious finger foods.

The Gourmet Picnic comes with a traditional wrap - one half sesame ginger marinated tofu, one half tandoori curry chicken salad. Vegetarians can order a full sesame ginger marinated tofu wrap. The picnic also includes a Caesar salad, a jar of Deer Valley pimento cheese and crackers, potato chips, and cashew caramel popcorn.

Kids can also get a picnic dinner that includes peanut butter and jelly and turkey and cheese mini sandwiches, potato chips, veggies with ranch dressing, fresh fruit, and caramel popcorn.

All three picnics come in a reusable, insulated picnic bag. Make sure to order your picnic no later than 5 p.m. on the evening before the show, and pick it up the night of the concert at 6 p.m.

You'll also find some tasty food and treats at the concession stand. Choose from entrees like a grilled chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, Deer Valley Chili, and more.

Delicious treats include jumbo carrot cake cupcakes, jumbo cookies, rice crispy treats, and homemade ice cream sandwiches.

Then, settle in and enjoy your picnic and the concert. Deer Valley Resort hosts the Utah Symphony for several concerts throughout the summer, as well as nationally-renowned artists playing music from all genres.

There's nothing like an outdoor concert on a summer evening in the fresh, mountain air! Tickets are still available for many of the concerts in the 2019 season.
