There is something truly magical about gazing at the galaxies above. Staring into a world that many of us only dream of exploring is truly a remarkable experience. While we won’t reach the celestial heavens (well, at least, I don’t believe in my lifetime), we can still find ways to admire the stars right from our backyards. And there is no better place to view the galaxies than right here in Utah. After all, we are home to not one, not two, but 18 Dark Sky places, the most of any destination in the world.

While many people flock to the state and national parks each year for their chance at the best stargazing in Utah, I’ve got a better idea. Plan a trip to Glendale and stay at Zion Court, a dreamy four-bedroom bungalow that includes a dome with a clear, unobstructed gateway to the heavens. You can literally sleep under the stars when you stay in this Utah Airbnb stargazing bungalow with a sky dome. It will be a magical night you won’t forget.

Surrounded by rolling hills, just 25 minutes from Zion National Park, our favorite Dark Sky Park in Utah, sits a unique retreat perfect for stargazing. If you’re an amateur like me or you’re an expert astronomer, Zion Court is calling your name. With cooler weather, longer nights, and clearer skies, now is the time to plan your stargazing adventure.

And I can’t think of a better town than Glendale in Southern Utah. It’s remote and has a low level of light pollution, making it a prime destination this time of year. Of course, the best place to stay is at the Zion Court vacation rental, where lucky guests can gaze at the twinkling stars while drifting off to dreamland.

Inside the main home, you’ll find three bedrooms, a bright, comfortable space with lots of natural lighting, and modern furnishings. I am immediately drawn to the swinging chair in the living room, where I can imagine myself curled up with my favorite book.

The open-air concept makes entertaining a large group a breeze. While cooking your meals or making your morning coffee, you can laugh and chat with your group from the well-equipped kitchen. As your home away from home, you’ll have everything you need to prepare your meals, and there is plenty of seating too.

With six beds, two full bathrooms, and enough room for up to eight guests, the bungalow is ideal for a group of friends or for you and your extended family. The kids will enjoy the bunk nook and the fun addition of the rock wall next to it. The king suite and guest room with a comfy queen bed are perfect for a good night’s rest after a day of exploration. The coolest and my favorite part of this rental? A private bedroom is located outside in a geodesic dome.

The Sky Dome bedroom is a cozy spot with two twin beds. Two lucky guests (or in my case, me), would have this spot to themselves to watch the starry sky as it comes alive at night. Since the dome features air conditioning and heating, the space is great all year long. If you could imagine lying quietly listening to the gentle nighttime breeze while gazing up at the deep blue sky as the stars begin to put on a show, then the Sky Dome is the place for you. Before you drift off to sleep, make wishes on the stars as they streak across the heavens in a cozy space that feels intimate and miles away from the outside world. A night here will be a memory that you will treasure forever.

Beyond the dome, the courtyard has a lot of amenities to entertain you and your guests. Here, you’ll find a patio with a fireplace and comfy chairs, which is a great spot to roast marshmallows and tell stories at the end of your day. Not to mention, there is a swinging bench and hammock tents for guests who prefer a quiet space to stargaze at night.

Of course, the hot tub is the place where you’ll want to sit for hours and soak up the views of the stunning mountains and the sunsets over the desert skies before retreating to your dome bedroom. I don’t know about you, but a stay at this Airbnb in Glendale sounds like a dream come true to me.

If you’re ready for the ultimate stargazing adventure, don’t hesitate to visit the Airbnb listing for Zion Court to see more pictures and to reserve your stay.
