Sleep Above the Clouds in This Dreamy Texas Vacation Rental

Hill Country is an obvious choice for Airbnbs because of its views in Texas. Lush greenery, pristine rivers, and, of course, the rolling hills that extend as far as the eye can see. So it's no surprise that some of the most dreamy getaways are right here.

Skyhouse is a collection of luxury cabins in the Hill Country known for their astonishing views, and I think Skyhouse Guadalupe AZUL in New Braunfels is my favorite of them all. As its name suggests, this spacious cabin is a beautiful shade of blue (aka azul), and it’s seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape (in fact, it's built directly into the side of a cliff!) for a unique experience that blends the tranquility of nature with the comforts of a modern home.

The split-level home sleeps up to 12 guests, with a primary bedroom, three guest bedrooms, and three full bathrooms. Large windows all throughout the home let in lots of natural light and allow guests to enjoy the sweeping panoramic views.

With a modern, somewhat industrial design that incorporates elements of nature, the home is as unique as it comes. Exposed pipe, a teak coffee table, polished floors, and clean lines come together to create an eclectic style that truly makes a statement in a world of cookie-cutter homes.

The living room is especially well-lit, with an open and airy design featuring a sitting area with plenty of room for everyone and a flat-screen TV (movie night, anyone?). Right off the living room is the kitchen, equipped with updated appliances, basics like spices and coffee, bar seating, and a dining room table.

Now, onto the most important part: the pool deck. Boasting lounge chairs and a BBQ grill, the deck is perfect for soaking up the sun and taking in the scenery. The pool is heated upon request (for an extra fee), so you can still take a dip even if it’s chilly outside. And watching a Hill Country sunset from the deck with your favorite people is simply a *chef’s kiss*.
