This Log Cabin Campground In South Dakota May Just Be Your New Favorite Destination

Camp Custer Cabins offer historic and cozy accommodations in the Black Hills National Forest, perfect for family gatherings and outdoor recreation.

When you're vacationing in the Black Hills, there's nothing better than staying in a cozy cabin. Here's a little log cabin campground that's perfect for your trip!

Camp Custer was built in the 1930s to house the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Two cabins were built in 1933 to house the officers at the camp. Today, those cabins are available for guests.

The Pine Crest Cabin is on the national historic register.

This little ponderosa pine gem will sleep up to seven people, but it's also cozy for just two.

A fireplace, braided rug and walls lined in pine make this cabin warm and snug.

You'll feel like you stepped back in time when you sleep in one of the three bedrooms.

Snuggle under a quilt in a queen-sized bed in two of the rooms; the third bedroom offers three twin-sized beds.

The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make tasty meals, and even has a washer and dryer.

The Sky View Cabin isn't on the historic register because of a more recent addition, but most of it is original, too.

This beautiful cabin sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 cozy bedrooms. The cabin is 1,860 square feet.

The main living area offers expansive, vaulted ceilings, a large stone fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating.

This is the perfect place to gather in the evening to chat or play games. Both cabins are stocked with cards, board games and books to keep you entertained.

The kitchen in the Sky View Cabin is spacious and offers modern conveniences in a rustic setting.

The dining table will seat up to 12 guests.

This cabin comes with five bedrooms.

Three of the bedrooms have queen-sized beds; one bedroom has a full-sized bed, and the fifth bedroom offers both a queen and an extra-long twin-sized bed.

The original barn and outhouse are still standing.

Don't worry - you'll enjoy three bathrooms in this cabin! Both cabins share the same five-acre yard, tucked into the trees.

You'll also enjoy a large deck with picnic table, propane grill and several benches so you can soak in the surrounding beauty of the Black Hills.

Camp Custer Cabins are the perfect place for a family gathering - there's plenty of room, and you're situated in one of the best spots in the Black Hills National Forest, just minutes away from almost every kind of outdoor recreation opportunity you can imagine.
