Cook Riverside Cabins In The Forest Near Pittsburgh Let You Glamp In Style

Camping isn’t for everyone. After all, it can be cold and rough, swarming with bugs in the warmer months, and usually lacking in modern amenities. Glamping, on the other hand, provides us with all of the benefits of camping — an endless sky, roasting marshmallows, and bonding with nature — while we enjoy the luxuries to which we are accustomed. Next time you need to get away, go glamping near Pittsburgh at these enchanting cabins along the Clarion River.

Nestled near the Clarion River in Cook Forest State Park, Cook Riverside Cabins provide an idyllic backdrop for a leisurely getaway — whether it’s the middle of winter or during the hottest days of the summer.

Each of the charming cabins features a full menu of amenities — heat, firewood for the fireplace, and a bathroom. Kitchens come with a refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster oven, and a coffeemaker.

Boasting a selection of 21 cabins, the campground’s smallest cabins sleep four while the largest comfortably accommodates 12.

Spend your days exploring Cook Forest State Park, ripe with opportunities all year round. Summer activities include kayaking, fishing, and horseback riding.

You can spend those cold winter days in front of a roaring fire in your cabin, or head outdoors for sled riding, cross country skiing, and ice skating.

Cook Riverside Cabins are open all year round. If you visit between now and April 30, 2020, you will receive a 20 percent discount.

From the beginning of June through the end of August, cabins are rented weekly. You must stay a minimum of three nights on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends while other stays require a two-night visit.

A maximum of two pets are welcome in the cabins. However, each pet will cost $12 per night.

When you make your reservations, you’ll be required to pay a 50 percent deposit. Check-in runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. while check out is at 10 a.m.
