This Pennsylvania Airbnb Looks Like It Belongs in the English Countryside

A Pennsylvania Airbnb that looks like an English castle is hiding in the charming town of Wrightsville, and it's the perfect escape for the whole extended family.

There are few things more exciting than a trip abroad, and the United Kingdom has always been on my bucket list. There are so many things to see, do, and eat across the pond that I could easily plan several weeks there - and then I look at the cost of flights and snap back to reality! Fortunately, we still have plenty of spots celebrating our link to the UK right here in the USA, and there's never any shortage of ways to indulge my anglophile leanings when they come calling. One thing I wasn't expecting, though, was to find a massive Pennsylvania Airbnb that looks like an English castle hiding in the Pennsylvania countryside, located in the charming town of Wrightsville.

Roundtop Mansion isn't an Airbnb you pick for a casual getaway. This is a massive spot, one of the biggest Airbnbs in the Keystone State, and it's not just a home - it looks and feels like an honest-to-goodness castle. More rustic than Buckingham Palace, it kind of feels like one of those spots the royals would escape to for a weekend of rest and relaxation. But this one isn't limited to the royals - it's available for rent right here in Pennsylvania, and it's the perfect place to bring the entire family or friend group for a vacation to remember.

What Makes This Airbnb Look Like an English Castle?

Roundtop Mansion is one of the most distinct views in all of Pennsylvania, as you'll see it towering over you as you approach. You feel like royalty just thinking about being the guest of honor here, and the old-school aesthetic permeates every corner of the mansion.

Inside, it's almost shockingly spacious - this mansion does sleep over sixteen guests, after all. That makes it ideal for a family gathering, class reunion, or any other large group - and the massive space means everyone will have their own little corner.

Is there anything more royal than a traditional banquet? The full kitchen is perfect for preparing a fancy meal, and the sprawling dining room will have enough room for everyone. The elegance of the dining area just adds to the royal vibe of this unique Airbnb.

It's common for Airbnbs to have several nice bedrooms, and then everyone else is crammed into smaller spaces or bunking on the couch. Not here. Everyone gets the royal treatment, with no less than eight bedrooms - four kings and four queens. There are extra spots in the living rooms should you need them.

Why Travelers Love This Airbnb

As impressive as the interior of the house is, the amenities included are even more so. The exterior of the house includes a wonderful array of water features, including a hot tub, a cold plunge, and even an enclosed sauna.

If it's a little too cold to embrace the great outdoors, the massive indoor swimming pool is always climate-controlled and makes for an amazing day of fun in the water.

And if you can't get enough of nature, one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots on the grounds is the private pond. A hammock overlooking the water, and an area of woods to explore nearby, adds to the feel that you could be in the peaceful English countryside, a world away from any worries.
