Let's take a peek:
The magical Sylvia Beach Hotel is located at Nye Beach in Newport, Oregon.
The hotel is named after Sylvia Beach, an American expatriate and patron of the arts. She owned the famous bookstore Shakespeare and Company in Paris.
Perched right over the water, this quiet oceanside hotel is a charming little hideaway by the sea.
What could be better than curling up here with a book during sunset?
Each bedroom is decorated in the style of a famous author. You can probably guess which author this room is inspired by.
Hint: He wrote "The Cat in the Hat!"
The Jules Verne room features an impressive steampunk style bed.
And a creepy tentacle coming out of the bathroom wall! The Jules Verne room is wheelchair accessible.
The Steinbeck room has a "Grapes of Wrath" inspired mural on the wall.
A thorough attention to detail really makes the rooms come alive.
The Jane Austen room is charming and sweet, and has a great view of the coastline.
The hotel leaves unoccupied rooms open, so you can go in and explore other author rooms if you have time.
A stay in the J.K. Rowling room will have you feeling like you're hanging out with Harry in the Gryffindor common room. There is even a picture of James and Lily by the bed.
You can dress up and take pictures with many of the decorations.
Just watch out for Moaning Myrtle, she has taken to lurking around the toilet.
On the third floor you will find a well-stocked library and lounge area, complete with a fireplace surrounded by comfy chairs. The windows offer amazing views of the ocean.
While you won't find wifi or television at this hotel (the library is a tech-free zone), it does have a lovely and friendly atmosphere. At night, guests are served complimentary mulled wine in the library.
And we can't forget to mention the hotel's most important resident!.
Say hello to Shelley, the cat.
In the morning, you can enjoy a tasty breakfast with a variety of freshly baked goods.
Breakfast is included in the room rate. Guests can dine at communal tables in the "Tables of Content" dining room.
