The area is filled with beautiful walking trails and hiking areas.

There is a 1.5-mile trail along Travertine Creek, along with miles and miles of trails near the lakes.

Cold Springs Campground (inside Platt Historic District) has 65 campsites and is open seasonally.

The area is known for its pristine waters. It's unusually clear for Oklahoma which makes it a favorite swimming spot in the summer.
