Beating out other places folks seldom consider for vacations — like, say, Idaho or Delaware — North Dakota is easily one of our nation's most tragically underrated places to live, work, and explore.

If you're planning to come up and check the place out, I don't blame you: It's the perfect destination for those who crave peace, quiet, and little to no hustle or bustle. While you're here, you'll need a place to stay, so why not stay somewhere that feels like it's right out of a dramatic movie or documentary? Welcome to the Grey Houz, a stunning, lofty vacation home rental in Bismarck, North Dakota, that offers plenty of rest and respite from the annoying volume of real life. It's an incredible place to stay for locals and visitors alike, and it's no surprise that it is one of the top 10 percent of homes on the site. It's jaw-droppingly incredible, and it's so wonderful that I wouldn't be surprised if you decided to stay just a little longer.

This gigantic dream home can sleep up to ten. It features 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and some of the most absurdly incredible views you'll find just about anywhere. This stunning "home in the sky" features truly impressive views of the surrounding landscape on five incredible acres and stretching all the way to the horizon. It's pure perfection for sunrise and/or sunset viewing.

This home feels far away from it all, but it's not: It's just 15 minutes away from downtown Bismarck, where you'll find some of the best eateries, restaurants, and shopping in the entire state. The town is a delight and a half, offering truly unforgettable opportunities that you and the whole family won't forget.

While there are so many things to do in Bismarck that I can't mention all of them in one short article, there are a few attractions worth mentioning. Among some of my all-time favorites are the breathtaking North Dakota State Library, which is not just full of books, but it's a whole adventure.

Once you're tired and ready to hang your hat for the day, no worries — you get to come home to five acres of the most beautiful land in the state. With views like these, who needs ground-floor accommodations? Not us.
