I love watching the landscape come back to life with all its brilliant shades of green and seeing all of the wildflowers begin to bloom. Located directly on Lake Hickory in North Carolina, this dreamy 1,700-square-foot Airbnb is the best place for a spring or summer getaway. The three-bedroom, five-bed rental has five beds and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. 

Inside, you’ll find everything you need, including a comfortable living room, a full kitchen with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, and large windows that ensure you’ll never have a bad view. This home was carefully designed so that you almost always have a view of the lake, and that’s why you’re here, right? To enjoy the lake!

The best part of this North Carolina vacation rental, in my opinion, is the backyard. There are plenty of seating areas, and each one is better than the next. I personally appreciate this screened-in porch. As much as I love the outdoors, so do the mosquitoes. You’ll be skeeter free here!

There’s also a fire pit near the water with plenty of seating. There’s also a little sandy area (your own private beach!) to relax and splash around. This is perfect for kids! Get a fire going at dusk and watch the sunset over the water before nightfall—that’s truly one of my favorite things to do. Then, once night falls, you’ve got an epic view to do a little stargazing! 

The rental is close to the Rock Barn and plenty of local restaurants. I'd recommend 1877 Pub & Grub. Not only does the restaurant have some fabulous fare, but they're always hosting unique events, including live music.
