A Walkable Town Famous for Its Natural Hot Springs in North Carolina

Hot Springs, North Carolina is just as pleasant as the name suggests. In fact, the town is known for having the only natural hot springs in the state. This quaint mountain town is the idyllic getaway spot for a weekend trip that is filled with both relaxation and adventure. Whether you are looking for a quaint walkable town, an epic adventurous hike, or simply a soak in the state's only hot springs, then this town is a must-visit.

During the daytime, take a stroll downtown to soak in the charm of this historic community. There are plenty of unique stops along the way but did you know the Appalachian Trail goes right through the city streets? So a leisurely stroll downtown means you are partaking in one of the most epic trails in our country. There are endless possibilities when it comes to glorious hiking in the area.

One of my favorite facts about this town is that it wasn’t always called Hot Springs. The natural springs were first discovered, and so the town was named Warm Springs, but upon learning about warmer water, they decided to rename the town Hot Springs. What is more to be discovered, however, is how beautiful this spot in North Carolina really is. The views from the Broadwing Farm are phenomenal.
