2. Audrey's Farmhouse + The Greenhouse: 2187 Bruynswick Rd, Wallkill, NY 12589
Audrey's Farmhouse + The Greenhouse is an absolutely beautiful inn that is a converted old plant nursery. The farmhouse was originally built in 1740. The operation has expanded to 20 rooms, a working greenhouse, and a public restaurant.

We've covered Hotel Dylan before; this spot is another one that's a delight for music fans. Tucked quietly away in the Catskills, this is such a great place to relax. The lawn is complete with hammocks and there's a great pool for warmer days.

4. The James Franco: Queens
Looking for a unique NYC stay? How about a houseboat near Rockaway Beach? You've got access to the whole lower portion of the boat and you're not too far from the beach.

6. Kos Retreats at Frogs Hollow Farms: Gardiner
This yurt is located on a 100-acre organic farm. It's not far from the Hudson Valley's Shawngunk Mountains, and it's a truly beautiful area.
The yurt is surprisingly sizable, with 450 feet of living space. There's air conditioning and a great deck for sitting out and sipping coffee while watching nature.

7. The Old Game Farm: 400 Game Farm Road, Catskill, NY 12414
You may remember visiting this place when it was a zoo! The Catskill Game Farm once housed more than 1,000 animals, and it's now an inn. It was actually the first privately-run zoo in America. A stay here allows you to wander the grounds and see all the fascinating remaining buildings from the property's previous life.
The rooms are stunning, and many feature decor that harks back to the animals that once lived on the land.
