This Giraffe House Is Actually A Bed And Breakfast In New York And You’ll Want To Spend The Night

While it may only feel like a moment ago, it's now been over 13-years since the Catskill Game Farm closed its gates for good. After the former zoo was left abandoned for more than five years, the land was purchased in 2012 and slowly but surely, the owners have worked hard at transforming this place into a new attraction - all while respectfully paying homage to its history.

Those who visited the Catskill Game Farm during its more than 70-years of operation will remember the old giraffe house - the birthplace of April the Giraffe and now known as the Long Neck Inn!

All it takes is one glance of the Long Neck Inn to realize this is far different from the average bed and breakfast you're used to running into.

Completely renovating the old giraffe house, today the old structure is now decorated with old signage from the zoo and other local whimsical decor that makes this place stand out from the rest.

Once you're done exploring the lower half of the inn, you'll be able to make your way upstairs to settle into your room.

The Long Neck Inn may have once been home to several giraffes, but today you'll find a total of five guest rooms inside the Long Neck Inn.

Each room comes with luxuries like smart TVs, desks, Bluetooth radios, en-suite bathrooms, heated floors, memory foam mattresses, and of course, the bragging rights to say that you’ve spent the night at The Old Game Farm.

The inn has quite an exotic atmosphere running throughout the entire place, with names like the Elephant Room, Giraffe Room, Menagerie Room, Rhino Room, and Zebra Room that you'll have to choose from.

Who knew this giraffe house would one day become one of the most unique bed and breakfasts in all of New York State one day!
