1. Erie Mansion - Clyde
Coffins serving as coffee tables? This is what I'm talking about! Built back in 1858, visitors who dare to stay at this bed and breakfast claim to feel its unusual presence as soon as they step foot through the door. The 43-room mansion was originally home to the Ely family that lived in the home for a couple of generations. Residents that have grown up in the area all their own ghost stories that they've heard surround the house. Some of the most popular stories told are that its former owners haunt the property and that there were reportedly suicides that took place inside of the home. Yikes!

2. Batcheller Mansion Inn - Saratoga Springs
Known for being one of the most stunning works of architecture in all of Saratoga, the history behind the Batcheller Mansion Inn is one that will fascinate you. The home was built for and long occupied by the Batcheller family, a family whose history is one that holds significance to the city and Upstate area. Both guests of the inn and staff members claimed to have seen ghosts, many believe that the ghosts haunting the historic building are that of the Batcheller family - more specifically George Batcheller.

3. Allegiance Bed and Breakfast - Mount Morris
One of our more well-known haunted hotels, you may have seen the Allegiance Bed and Breakfast on several different TV shows in the past. According to those who have stayed at the hotel, two ghosts by the name of Karen and Ray haunt the second floor of the historic building. Built in 1838, Karen and Ray would appear to on the more harmless side of the scary ghost spectrum. Those who have seen these ghosts have reported the pair throwing an object back and forth to each other and apparently Ray is quite the chatter box. 4. The Naples Hotel - Naples
When buildings are as old as the ones you can find on this list, it's hard not to imagine that there isn't a spirit or two lingering around after all this time. Built in 1895, the Naples Hotel has been known to be home to a handful of ghosts over the years. A popular spirit you'll hear people talk about is that of a man who killed himself on the third floor and still lingers around till this day. Other guests of the hotel have reportedly seen a woman named Alice and her two children who were said to have died inside of the hotel at some point during the 1900's. Because one ghost just isn't enough!

5. Shanley Hotel - Napanoch
Possibly the most famous haunted hotel in all of New York, this location is so frightening you literally have to sign a waiver in order to stay here. It's that scary. Reading about this place before you go to sleep is guaranteed to give you nightmares. The hotel's history is one that includes quite a bit of tragedy, with the deaths of children and guests of the hotel looming large over the property.

6. Brambles Inn & Gardens - Potsdam
Another historic location dating back to the mid-1800s, Brambles Inn is a beautifully charming place to stay when you're up north. But could it also be one of New York's many haunted destinations? Reportedly guests have claimed to have dealt with an angry female spirit that bangs on doors and groans during the night. This is one wake up call we have no interest in dealing with!

7. Hotel Utica - Utica
Yet another hotel on our list that has an extraordinarily fascinating history, Hotel Utica was once known to be the host to some of our favorite stars and figures. With Cooperstown being nearby, many famous baseball players like Jackie Robinson and Mickey Mantle have stayed at this hotel. Other well-known people that have graced the hotel with their presence? Amelia Earhart and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. As for today? Hotel Utica is known for being quite the popular location if you're looking to track down ghosts. Staff and Guests of the hotel frequently claim to see a spirit they refer to as "Tuxedo Man", always quickly disappearing.
