Faywood Hot Springs offers a secluded glamping experience with geothermal springs and rustic cabins in New Mexico.

If camping sounds like fun but the idea of roughing it doesn’t appeal to you, consider staying at a glampground and hot springs resort in New Mexico. While it’s possible to tent camp at Faywood Hot Springs, which is located between Silver City and Deming, there are other, cushier options. Enjoy a mini nature retreat, with some of the comforts of home, by booking a stay in one of the resort’s rustic cabins. Sleep in a real bed, surrounded by solid walls and – best of all – you can slip into the restorative waters of the resort’s natural hot springs and let any tension float away.

Faywood Hot Springs is in a secluded setting, in a sparsely populated portion of the state.

The resort is remote and rustic, offering all the peace and privacy you could desire.

Rent one of six cabins for an off-the-grid experience that doesn’t involve giving up amenities.

The Dragonfly is the most popular cabin. Inside you’ll find conveniences like a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

At night, you can snuggle under the covers of a comfy bed.

Some cabins are pet-friendly and one – Consuelo Cabin – is accessible.

There is also a historic casita on site. This adorable dwelling accommodates two people -- great for a romantic getaway.

What makes this glampground truly unique is the presence of geothermal springs.

The hot springs have attracted visitors to this oasis for centuries.

Soak in the 13 mineral pools. Some are equipped with retractable sunshades and temperature controls. There are separate "clothing required" and "clothing optional" sections.

Since the pools are open late, you can float under a blanket of stars.

The resort offers a clubhouse, which includes a lovely fireplace.

For a more traditional campfire experience, head to the fire pit.

Watch for the peacocks that call the resort home…

…If they don’t find you first!

While there is a small store on the property and a restaurant will be opening here soon, it’s best to bring in food, charcoal for the grills, and extra towels.

Gas up your vehicle before leaving town. You won’t want to waste any time on mundane tasks when you could be relaxing at this tranquil glampground. The resort is located at 165 Highway 61 in Faywood.
