We've all been there - our perfect waterfront escape in NJ suddenly feels like it's the state's biggest party, and while that's great, it's definitely not the vibe we're looking for. That's why I love to find hidden gem spots on the Jersey Shore, and I found one in the tiny town of Fortescue, This isolated town in the south of the state, surrounded by nature, is home to an amazing historic hotel and restaurant on the banks of Fortescue Beach. That means you can enjoy a stunning meal only feet from the water, while enjoying an incredible view. The best part is, the Charlesworth Hotel and Restaurant is such a well-hidden gem that even during summer, it's likely to still feel like a peaceful retreat from the big city and crowded beaches not far from here.
