This Retro Nevada Trailer Is Like Stepping onto the Set of Wes Anderson Film
I found a retro trailer that's like stepping onto the set of a Wes Anderson film. Surely you'll want to stay here as much as I do.
I'm pretty sure I have seen every Wes Anderson film ever made. As I watch one of his films, I fall in love with the quirky storyline, the script, and the characters. Beyond that, the set design is among the most visually distinctive I've ever seen in a movie. The use of muted, pastel, and bright colors, repeated patterns, symmetry, and nostalgic elements is tantalizing to my eyes, drawing me into each scene like I belong there as much as one of the characters. I find his films to be an immersive experience and almost wish I lived in one. After some research, I found a vacation rental that's like stepping onto the set of a Wes Anderson film. Surely you'll want to stay here as much as I do!
The moment I saw the Retro Camper with Mountain Views, I immediately thought of the 2023 Wes Anderson film Asteroid City starring Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, and Jason Schwartzman. It takes place in a desert town called Asteroid City. The year is 1955, and the retro motif throughout the film's set design includes a variety of vehicles from that era. Located in Jean, Nevada, just 32 miles south of Las Vegas, the Retro Camper looks like it's part of the set.
Surrounded by Joshua trees dotting the vast desert landscape, the Retro Camper offers sensational mountain views by day and Milky Way views by night. Yes, this area gets dark, so let your eyes gaze towards the sky for a dazzling light show without the light pollution.
The camper's interior may be tiny, but it's well equipped given the space. With a cozy full-sized bed, it can accommodate a maximum of two guests. It's ideal for either a relaxing solo or romantic glamping getaway.
The kitchen has a small retro-style fridge, a microwave, and a gas stove. Utensils and dishes are also available. The fridge and cabinets are light blue, similar to the blue used throughout Asteroid City, so you can see why they would fit right into the film.
The camper's exterior is absolutely adorable. I just love the white with mint green stripes and the large deck with an overhang and seating. Imagine sitting out there, relaxing, and enjoying the views, whether during the day or at night.
If you feel like leaving the property, Pioneer Saloon is within walking distance of the Retro Camper. Established in 1913, this historic Nevada saloon has also served as a movie set and is a great spot for a pint and a meal. Additionally, there are hiking and mountain biking trails, wild horses, and ATV tours nearby.
Would you agree that staying at the Retro Camper with Mountain Views in Jean, Nevada, would be like stepping onto the set of a Wes Anderson film? I love everything about it! You can book your stay through Hipcamp.
