This Snowy Nevada Cabin Is the Coziest Winter Escape

Is there anything more magical than watching the snow fall while you’re curled up in front of the fireplace in a cozy cabin? I certainly think not. This cold-weather season, escape to beautiful South Lake Tahoe and experience one of the best winter getaways in Nevada.

This spacious, yet charmingly rustic Airbnb cabin is perfect for all of your snowy adventures, located near ski resorts and offering stunning views of the powdery landscape. Aptly named "Stairway to Heaven," this Glenbrook cabin is the highest elevated home in the neighborhood, with a 65-step ascent to the entrance. It’s just three miles from Heavenly Ski Resort, and Stagecoach Lodge is close by, as well. 

The cabin is incredibly spacious, sleeping up to 10 guests in five bedrooms. There are nine total beds and three bathrooms. Guests who love to cook will find themselves at home in the open kitchen, which boasts lovely granite countertops, plenty of seating, and updated appliances.

Whether you like to curl up on the couch with a good book or indulge in some channel surfing, the living area offers plenty of room for everyone to spread out and kick back. An old-fashioned indoor fireplace is perfect for staying warm in the winter — especially after a day of skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing.

Speaking of outdoor activities, the cabin has a grand total of four decks providing stellar views of Heavenly Valley and Lake Tahoe. Two of the decks are located in front of the cabin, while the other two are around back. One of the front decks has a hot tub that’s ideal for a warming soak on a frigid winter day, and both back decks are furnished with Adirondack chairs. There’s also a grill and a table and chairs for outdoor dining.

With the cabin’s prime location (both geographically and in terms of elevation), it’s the perfect spot for watching the snowfall. The landscape transforms into a winter wonderland, and you can enjoy the views from indoors and outside.
