I could easily imagine spending cool days curled up on the swing. As you step inside, the southwestern theme continues. The wooden furnishing gives the space a welcoming vibe, and the whimsical accent pieces are certainly a conversational starter. 

I adore that there are lots of comfy places to gather with loved ones. There are two living rooms, one with a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly fall evenings. A fully stocked kitchen is available for preparing your daily grub. Plus, you’ll have plenty of places to sit and savor your delicious meals. Best of all, there is a game room with some of your childhood favorites. They include a foosball table, air hockey, darts, as well as Pac-Man and Asteroids. If you’re traveling with the little ones, this will be their favorite room inside the house. Aside from the game room, other amenities include Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, books, board games, and a Nintendo Wii console.  

As for accommodations, the retreat features three bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, and a living room with a sofa bed, allowing up to eight guests to sleep. So, it’s perfect for a large family or a group of friends. It’s good to know that the host offers a second rental on the property, which can be booked together in case you have a large group. The second space has its own amenities, but the seasonal pool is shared between guests from the rentals.    

Of course, the theme continues outdoors as well. You’ll want to have your phone ready to snap pics in the yard. Oh, wearing your best fall flannel shirt wouldn’t be a bad idea to fit in here. I absolutely love the rustic wagon, the mock mercantile store, and the old-fashioned jail. I bet you will believe you’re on the set of an old western movie. Or perhaps strolling through a small town forgotten in time, getting ready for harvest season.

On the days that you’re not at the ranch, plan a trip to one of the wineries in the area. Enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting with views of an expansive vineyard and the gorgeous mountain peaks in the background at Charleston Peak Winery.
