Throughout Nevada you'll find an assortment of beautiful state parks, all offering their own type of scenic surroundings. While we're always encouraging you to go explore these spectacular spaces, there's one place in particular that we feel should be high on your bucket list.

Ready to squeeze in one last adventure before summer comes to an end? Then spend the night at our state's most picturesque campground for an unforgettable experience:

In the remote area of Panaca, you'll find Cathedral Gorge State Park.

To see a more detailed view of how you'll get to the state park and campground, make sure you watch the video at the end of this post!

One of our most breathtaking places to visit, this state park is a paradise for any shutterbug.

Covering just over 1,600 acres of Nevada, the state park has an elevation of 4,800 feet. Amazing!

Slot canyons and unbelievable cliffs will steal your breath away, making the perfect backdrop for any picture.

A long and narrow valley that will often remind you of just how out of this world our state can appear to be, Cathedral Gorge State Park is a place where you have to see this geological formation in person.

Within the state park you can find 22 campsites, two of which are handicapped-accessible.

Each site in the campground comes equipped with a grill, table and shaded area. Sites cannot be reserved and are first-come, first-served. Not far from the campground you'll find another large area that has more grills, a ton of picnic tables, shaded areas and water! Also seen pictured above, the campground has flush rest rooms with showers that are open all year.

While most of our residents have visited Cathedral Gorge at least once before, there's nothing like camping out to give you even more time to explore this unique park.

There's nothing better than feeling like you have all the time in the world to explore a new place or favorite spot that you love to return to time and time again.

One of Nevada's first four state parks, Cathedral Gorge has long been a favorite area to explore.

We could stare down these beautiful valleys all day long. How could you not want to explore this place?

The park features different trails that you can explore, but our favorite is the one-mile hike that brings you by the Miller Point Overlook.

The park also features a four-mile trail that loops through the park, bringing you to some of the most beautiful and remote areas. Walk through narrow spaces and make your way to the top to have a never-ending view of Nevada.
