A Dreamy Treehouse Escape Awaits You in Nebraska

Let's be real here: Most of us daydreamed about the ultimate treehouse escape when we were kids, where real life didn't matter and responsibilities didn't exist. Well, what if I told you there's an incredible vacation rental in Nebraska where you can do exactly that and escape from the real world? Yup. I found the ultimate Nebraska getaway way up in a tree - literally (two enormous Cottonwood trees, actually). Located in beautiful South Sioux Falls, Nebraska, this incredible Airbnb listing is one of my all-time favorites, and it's easy to see why.

Okay, seriously - no need to pinch yourself. It's definitely real.

It's not gigantic (most treehouses aren't), so it's perfect for solo adventurers and couples. It's got one bedroom and one bed, so plan accordingly; this place makes an awesome anniversary or birthday gift, and I think you'd score some major points with your person by booking a stay here! When I say it's a treehouse, I mean it's a literal treehouse: It's 18 feet up in the air, requires climbing a staircase to access, and overlooks an intensely beautiful garden area perfect for sorting out one's thoughts.

Enjoying the sunrise from this epic vacation rental in Nebraska is second to none. There's something simply magnificent about watching the sun come up from a tree - my goodness, it's awe-inspiring. You may feel like you're away from it all, but really, you'll be just six minutes from Old Historic 4th Street and ten minutes from Ponca State Park.

Stroll through the gardens and take in the wonder of it all; fall in love with Nebraska all over again. Awesomely, guests - up to two - get to have a breakfast of choice in the mornings, with a variety of coffees, lattes, and foods to choose from. It's wonderful and one-of-a-kind, unlike any other stay in the entire Cornhusker State, and I truly think it'll blow your mind.

There is an assortment of eateries and restaurants in town, and if you're a fan of truck stop fare, you'll love Crystal Cafe, which is easily my favorite guilty pleasure. Browse the shops, get some dessert - and once you're tired and ready to sleep it off, return to the treehouse, where there's a big, cozy bed waiting.
