Chadron State Park is Nebraska's oldest park, and it's a beautiful spot with plenty to see and do.
Address: 15951 Gold Rush Byway, Chadron, NE, 69337
The park is tucked away in the canyons of Pine Ridge, and includes 973 forested acres. You can see why this park is a crown jewel in the Nebraska state park system.
Chadron State Park has so much to offer that you'll want to stay overnight to see it all. The campground offers 70 campsites with electric hookups and another 18 primitive tent sites.

Every campsite has a fire pit, so you can roast hot dogs and s'mores, and you'll have a picnic table to sit at to enjoy your campfire meal.
If you'd prefer something a little more civilized, reserve one of the 22 cabins at the park. They were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.
Cabins include heating, air conditioning, linens, refrigerator, stove, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare meals.
While you're here, you'll want to take a horseback ride...
