There’s A New Covered Wagon Campground In Montana And It’s A Unique Overnight Adventure

Chico Hot Springs offers a unique glamping experience with luxurious covered wagons and various amenities.

Chico Hot Springs has been a beloved vacation destination for many a Montanan for decades. There's nothing like enjoying a relaxing soak in the hot mineral spring water and then enjoying a restful slumber on the property. And as of 2019, there are some new accommodations for guests to explore: a small covered wagon campground.

The historic Chico Hot Springs Resort & Spa first opened its doors in 1900.

The property sits nestled at the base of Emigrant Peak, minutes from the Yellowstone River and close to some of Montana's top tourist destinations.

The property consists of so much more than hot springs pools.

You can enjoy a meal or a beverage at one of several on-site restaurants and bars, shop at the gift shop, and sleep in the historic main lodge or the Fisherman's Lodge.

But for a true Old West experience, we highly recommend booking a stay at Chico's new Cowboy Camp.

The Cowboy Camp consists of six covered wagons that offer some luxurious glamping.

Each covered wagon has a king-sized bed and twin bunk beds, accommodating up to four guests.

And while they do have electricity and some basic amenities, you'll shower in the nearby communal bath facility.

Cowboy Camp also has a fantastic outdoor lounge with a gas-burning fire pit and chairs to enjoy your evenings.

And the views you'll see are simply unparalleled.

Chico Hot Springs is open, but the pool is reserved for hotel guests only.

The team is also taking measures to ensure you and your family will have a clean, comfortable, safe stay. After all, vacations are about relaxation.

Have you been to Chico Hot Springs lately? The Cowboy Camp is open for reservations from May - October. Book a stay here.
