A love of nature is ingrained in every born-and-raised Montanan. And to most of us, camping means finding a secluded area and pitching a tent or parking an RV. However, certain occasions in life call for a more elevated experience. Some might find the idea of "glamping" a bit strange, but there's actually nothing better than sleeping in luxury while still being surrounded by nature.

The Bar W Guest Ranch is located on the outskirts of Whitefish near Glacier National Park.

To say this place is surrounded by beauty is an understatement.

The Bar W is a pretty small ranch, but you'll be surrounded by wide-open spaces.

The property sits nestled in between two pine-covered ridges at the base of Spencer Mountain.

Glamping allows the best of both worlds: a comfortable stay and stunning natural surroundings.

Each luxury canvas tent has a queen-sized bed, a handcrafted log futon, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker.

A private, heated bathroom is located just a few feet from your tent.

The glamping tents also have a private porch, which is perfect for enjoying both morning coffee and an evening nightcap.

There are only four glamping tents, and the ranch can only accommodate about 40 guests at a time. This is far from a crowded campground.

Staying at the Bar W goes way beyond fancy camping. It's a true ranch experience.

You can enjoy horseback riding, archery, fly fishing, roping, cattle drives, cookouts, and campfires, just to name a few. Every guest is assigned their own horse upon arrival.

A stay at the Bar W Guest Ranch is far from cheap, but the rate includes all meals, activities, and accommodations.
