Visit Missouri’s Own North Pole For A Truly Magical Christmas Experience

Union Station Hotel in St. Louis transforms into a magical North Pole experience during the holiday season.

As a kid, you may remember going to the closest shopping center to meet with Santa and get your photo taken. While it was either exciting or terrifying, it never quite felt like you were in the North Pole, rather a busy shopping mall. However, there is one place in Missouri that will truly feel like the real thing and that is the Union Station Hotel in St. Louis.

From November 18th thru December 30th, the historic Union Station Hotel transforms into a magical North Pole.

Visitors can spend the night at the hotel or visit throughout the day to experience all the Christmas magic this North Pole has to offer.

If your little one has written a letter to Santa, then this is the perfect place to have it be delivered to the jolly man.

Or, they can visit with Santa himself. Father Christmas regularly strolls around the North Pole and here he is at Gingerbread Junction

Children can take a fun ride on the kid-sized Christmas train.

Or hop on the much larger Santa Express train.

By purchasing a train ticket, visitors will get a ride on the Santa Express, access to North Pole Village, hot chocolate and a Christmas cookie. They'll also get to meet with Santa to get their photo taken.

Premium ticket buyers will gain access to a more spacious observatory car, as seen in this photo.

And the North Pole wouldn't be complete without a newsroom. I mean, who else is going to inform the reindeers of the weather conditions predicted for Christmas Eve?

Union Station's North Pole is full of activities for the whole family, like Peppermint Put-Put.

Glacier Park is where guests can enjoy ice skating or tubing. If those activities don't suit you, then you can relax in one of the cozy cabanas.

Make sure you thank the Christmas elves for all their hard work they put in at the North Pole!
