This Missouri Campground With Family-Friendly Floats Will Be Your New Favorite Summer Spot
Enjoy a relaxing float down the Black River at Twin Rivers Landing in Missouri, with options for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and camping.
Floating promises sheer relaxation if you find the perfect setting to float in Missouri. After all, throw your tube into a public swimming pool, and your tranquility is likely to be consistently interrupted with bumps and "opps, sorry" from fellow swimmers. Solve that problem with a leisurely float down the Black River, where you can close your eyes, face to the sun, and cool down as your feet dangle in the water.
Lather on the sunscreen for your leisurely float down the Black River at Twin Rivers Landing, in Lesterville, which offers both one-day floats and camping.
But, first decide your favorite way to float: In a tube, a canoe, or a kayak. If you have your own tube, canoe, or kayak, bring it along.
Float prices range from $20 to $45 depending on your preferred flotation device. If you're bringing your own float, you must pay $15 for the shuttle ride should you need a ride back to the campground after your excursion.
Bringing along a group of friends? Opt for a four, six, or eight person raft.
Then, launch your river adventure from the swimming beach at Twin Rivers Landing, and enjoy five miles of picturesque scenery, golden sunshine, and pure relaxation.
And, once you've finished your float, hop aboard the shuttle that will take you back to the campground.
Of course, you can opt for the one-day float or, if you're having a blast, make reservations ahead of time to camp out.
Twin Rivers Landing offers tent, RV, and rustic cabins for rent.
The campground also offers a full menu of amenities, including sand volleyball courts and scenic hayrides.
