Camping is one of the most fun ways to enjoy the outdoors. But it can be a lot of work. Between preparing a site, setting up the tent, and keeping the campsite in order, campers have their work cut out for them. Not only that, but camping isn't always the most comfortable way to spend the night outside.
That's where glamping comes in. This activity is like camping, but a lot more comfortable. And it's extremely easy if you visit a site that someone else has set up for you, like the Airbnb stay we'd like to introduce today. This is a beautiful glamping experience on the North Shore, and it's perfect for those who crave the peace and nature of camping without the work or lack of amenities. If that sounds good to you, read on below to learn more:
This yurt is on Minnesota's North Shore, near the small town of Two Harbors. It makes for a beautiful glamping experience for those who are looking for a more affordable way to enjoy the region.
The yurt is on a 16.5-acre property. It overlooks a meadow surrounded by beautiful forested lands. Guests are welcome to enjoy the 1-mile hiking trail through the property.
The property is also a garlic farm, making this an especially unique place to go glamping.
When it comes time to go inside, the yurt is a beautiful space that is surprisingly large. The cozy furnishings will make you feel right at home.
One of the first things you'll notice is the beautiful oculus in the middle of the ceiling. It lets in great light and is perfect for stargazing at night.
The sitting area is a great place to relax. There is no TV here, but there are some games and books provided. There's also a strong wifi signal, so guests can bring devices to watch movies and TV shows if they choose.
There's even a kitchenette that offers access to clean drinking water. A mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and French press mean you can prepare basic meals and have access to both cold and warm drinks.
Back outside, a fire pit will keep you warm on chilly northern Minnesota nights. Comfortable chairs around the fire will let you enjoy the warmth for a long time.
A nearby privy - just 30 steps away - is where you'll go to the bathroom. Though it is outside, it is clean and well-lit. There's also an indoor shower in the main house that guests can use during certain hours of the day.
As an added bonus, guests also have access to a sauna! It has a small changing area where you can comfortably change, a wood-burning stove, an indoor water spigot, and three benches. What better way to fully enjoy your stay?
