The Palmer House Hotel is easily the most haunted hotel in Minnesota — and maybe one of the most haunted places in the state in general. Built in 1901, the hotel is such a spectral activity hotbed that it's been featured on ghost-hunting shows like "Ghost Adventures" and "The Dead Files." Palmer House Hotel, located in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, was originally built in 1901. That means a lot of guests have stayed there in the last century... and some apparently never checked out.

There have been a number of ghosts reported by hotel staff and visitors alike at the hotel. They include a ghostly boy playing with a ball, a prostitute, and a tall man who stares at people while they sleep.

The two most haunted rooms are, apparently, Room 11 and Room 17.

Guests have reported hearing their name called when no one is around. Many also experience unusual cold spots at certain points during their stay.

Others have said they felt inexplicably sad in certain areas of the hotel, or felt unexpected pressure on their chests.
