The Oldest Hotel In Massachusetts Is Also One Of The Most Haunted Places You’ll Ever Sleep

The Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston is renowned for its rich history and paranormal activity, making it a unique travel destination.

Does your idea of a good night’s sleep involve things that go bump in the night? Then the oldest hotel in Massachusetts is the place for you. Here’s what it’s like to stay at the beautiful (but totally haunted) Omni Parker House. We should warn you, though, that it's rumored to be one of the most haunted hotels in Boston.

The Omni Parker House Hotel is the oldest continuously operated hotel in America.

It opened in 1855 and has hosted countless celebrities and public figures.

Charles Dickens debuted "A Christmas Carol" at the hotel, and President John F. Kennedy proposed to Jackie Kennedy while dining at the hotel.

Of course, all that history comes with a heaping helping of hauntings.

The hotel is said to be haunted by the ghost of its founder, Harvey Parker.

He’s purportedly been spotted roaming the halls and peering back at guests from mirrors.

Some guests have also reported strange whispering coming from the other side of their hotel rooms doors.

The hotel also seems to have a potentially paranormal elevator problem – the lifts tend to be called to the third floor without a button being pressed or a guest requesting the elevator.

Room 303 has also been closed by management for unspecified reasons.

Some say the room is haunted by a guest who committed suicide, while others blame reports of strange shadows and noises for the closure.

Apart from the hauntings, the Omni Parker House is one of Boston’s most glamorous hotels. Don’t hesitate to check in if you’re looking for the experience (and fright) of a lifetime.

Have you ever stayed at the haunted Omni Parker House hotel in Massachusetts? Did its haunted history grab you? If so, we'd love to hear about your experiences -- haunted or otherwise!
