Spend The Night In This Massachusetts Lighthouse For An Unforgettable Experience

Borden Flats Lighthouse offers a unique and romantic overnight stay with stunning views and historic charm.

There's something so romantic about lighthouses. The promise of complete and utter solitude, the 360-degree ocean views, and the utterly unique architecture make spending the night in one almost too tempting to resist.

Borden Flats Lighthouse in Fall River is one of the few places you can live out your lighthouse keeper fantasies (I'm not the only one who has those, right?) without signing up for an entire year of isolation.

This incredible lighthouse is located at the mouth of the Taunton River.

It’s been guarding the boats coming in and out of Mt. Hope Bay and Fall River for over 100 years.

It’s available for overnight stays. The lighthouse can only sleep two guests at a time, so this may the perfect romantic getaway.

The first thing you'll notice when you step inside is the view.

There's no better place to catch a breathtaking sunset than at the very top of the lighthouse.

Inside, you'll find all the conveniences you'd expect from top-notch accommodations, with charming homey touches throughout.

There are four levels to this lighthouse, each outfitted with a mix of original furnishings and beautiful maritime decor.

The second and third floors offer plenty of space to relax, watch a movie or enjoy a cozy meal.

At the very top, you'll find the master bedroom. This room is 40 feet above the bay and offers a queen-size bed.

As you're relaxing in bed, you'll be able to see the beautiful beams of the lantern lens filter through the room.

However, this isn’t your typical hotel experience. While you visit, you’ll actually be considered the keeper of the lighthouse.

The best part? The price of your overnight stay will go towards ongoing preservation efforts on the lighthouse.

The lighthouse is accepting 2016 guests from September 5th to November 15th. The price per night is $266. Check out the website here to make a reservation.
