The Treehouse Restaurant In Maine That’s Straight Out Of A Fairytale

The Treehouse in Portland offers a unique dining experience with its enchanting decor and excellent food.

There are plenty of places to get a good meal in Maine. After all, Portland wasn't named the best food city in the country for nothing. But, with so many popular options it can be hard to feel like you're doing something really unique. But, this little restaurant found high above the streets of Portland will give you something to make things feel a little more special. The cozy vibes are strong and you'll love the food!

The Treehouse is hidden in plain sight just off Stevens Ave. in Portland.

The outside might look like many other restaurants in town, but once you walk in it's clear that something special is happening here.

As you walk through, you'll find yourself marveling at the hundreds of plants that make this place feel truly alive, along with the tree boughs woven to create arches along the ceilings.

Nighttime here is especially magical as fairy lights come out to make dinner feel secret and cozy.

But, The Treehouse doesn't rely on decor and ambiance to keep them shining. It's the food and drinks that make those things even better.

From paprika mussels...

...to the elaborate main dishes, you'll feel both hidden away and very well fed!

If the weather's nice, head out to the plant covered deck where you'll feel as though you're truly sitting in the branches of a wonderful tree.

Despite its relatively urban location, The Treehouse is an utter oasis leaving guest feel enchanted by its magic.

The Treehouse is located at 484 Stevens Ave., Portland, Maine. You can check them out on Facebook or give them a call on 207-874-0706 to make a reservation — special evenings tend to book fast. They're open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

We recently wrote about this great pizza spot in New Gloucester and we think you'll love it as much as we do. And, it's off-the-beaten-path, making it another extra special place to try in Maine.
