Relax By The Ocean At Maine’s Newest Gorgeous Glampground
Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport, Maine offers a unique luxury glamping experience near Goose Rocks Beach.
As the weather gets warmer in Maine, one of our favorite things to do is sleep outdoors. Camping in Vacationland provides access to the woods or the sea - and often both at the very same campground! But, if someone had a lobster cracker to our fingers forcing us to choose our favorite camping background, we'd have to say the sea. That's why the newest oceanside camping spot in Maine has us packing our bags so we're ready for opening day!
Few places are more quintessential New England than Kennebunkport.
But, staying in town in a B&B doesn't allow for the unique vacation experience that some might prefer.
That's where Sandy Pines Campground comes in!
Maine's newest campground is actually an incredible unique experience! And, if you've got a special occasion to celebrate this summer, or simply prefer a more luxury camping experience, this is for you.
Nestled in the woods, just a few feet from Goose Rocks Beach, Sandy Pines offers custom designed glamping tents fit for royalty!
Twelve 430 square feet tents have been dreamed up and created by local designers.
They'll be available on display at the Sandy Pines opening event on June 23rd from 6pm to 10pm. Each is for sale (with a slightly higher price tag than that LLBean tent you picked up at the outlet last summer) and can be used throughout the season.
For those not wiling to commit, two of the designed glamping tents will be available to rent all summer for about $150 a night.
In addition to these special tents, Sandy Pines also offers tiny homes.
These can be purchased directly from the campsite website.
Each spot is just minutes from both Goose Rocks Beach and Dock Square.
After spending the day outdoors, head into town and enjoy the local flavor!
And by that, we mean seafood!
Whether you're in the market for your own personal glamping tent or just want to explore more of what the Kennebunkport area has to offer, we recommend a visit.
Nothing beats summer near the sea in Maine!
Tickets for the "Night at Summer Camp" preview event on Friday, June 23rd are $100 and include dancing, food and beverages and tours of each tent. The night will go towards supporting four local non-profit organizations: Community Harvest Project, Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, Southern Maine Health Auxiliary and Louis T. Graves Memorial Library.
