This Kentucky Airbnb Has the Most Underrated Fishing Spot

Lake Malone, a 788-acre lake in southwest Kentucky, is great for catching largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, and more. We've found a beautiful A-frame Airbnb on the shores of Lake Malone, a delightful and underrated fishing spot in Kentucky.

A-Frame of Mind has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, providing ample space for up to 10 guests. Its spacious open-concept living and dining area has plenty of room for the whole family or group of fishing buddies to eat, gather, and relax. This space features comfortable furniture, a television, and large windows that overlook Lake Malone.

The Airbnb's kitchen has everything guests need to prepare delicious meals. It is outfitted with beautiful white cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. With a dishwasher, dishes, silverware, a coffee maker, and grilling utensils, even the most serious cooks have the right tools for creating excellent breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Several outdoor spaces allow guests to fully enjoy Lake Malone. A massive back deck overlooks the stunning lake and has a large dining table for six. Isn't this the perfect spot to enjoy coffee in the morning or a card game in the evening?

Off the deck is a scenic fire pit area with four Adirondack chairs. The fire pit is beneath a lush tree canopy and right beside the sparkling lake. Steps away is a private fishing dock. Guests can fish directly from the dock, and A-Frame of Mind's hosts provide two kayaks for exploring the picturesque lake.

After a peaceful day on the water, guests can rest in comfortable and cozy beds. The Airbnb has one king-sized bed, one queen-sized bed, two full-sized beds, and two twin-sized beds. There are cotton bed linens and a washer and dryer for a pleasant stay.

There's something for everyone at Lake Malone State Park in Dunmor, Kentucky. The tranquil waters are amazing places to swim, boat, and fish. Its family-friendly sand beach provides all-day excitement. With a license from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, visitors can enjoy this underrated fishing spot in Kentucky, catching crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, and more. The park also has a free program for fishing pole rentals.

Lake Malone State Park has incredible hiking trails. The Laurel, Turkey Ridge, and Blue Heron Trail is a 4.5-mile enchanted forest hike past forests, canyons, and the Big Twigs, a collection of 14-foot-tall giants throughout the park. The Big Twigs Family arrived in Lake Malone State Park in 2021, making the park magical, like a secret storybook that came to life.

The area boasts fantastic casual restaurants, such as Wayne's Place, which features Sunday Specials like roast beef, baked ham, and baked spaghetti. Wayne's Place also sells fishing bait! The Buggy Shed in Beechmont serves Southern, home-cooked food that people rave about.
