This Kentucky Campground Is One Of The Best Places To Enjoy The Summer And Fall Seasons

AJ Jolly Campground is one of my all-time favorite Kentucky destinations. I have spent countless nights camping there, long afternoons filled with Frisbee golf, and serene days simply dropping a line in the water. While there are plenty of ways to take advantage of the landscape, not much can compare with a walk along the campsite to take in the seasonal foliage. Beyond being a perfect nature getaway, the Kentucky park also comes complete with a wide range of other activities ideal for grownups as well as smaller children. With 1,000 acres to explore, the land open to the public includes fields, forests, and wetland habitats. For a park open to the public in 1963, AJ Jolly gives you everything you could want in a Kentucky park. Let's check out one of the best campgrounds in Kentucky!

AJ Jolly Park & Campground is an award-winning, beautiful, 1,000-acre park that is ideal for your next vacation.

This pretty space makes for some of the best summer camping in Kentucky.

The main area has two walking trails for visitors to explore as well as a recreation center.

The A.J. County Park Loop is an easy 2.3-mile loop trail that is a paved hike and offers beautiful scenery. Learn more about this hike on the AllTrails website.

The trails at AJ Jolly are second-to-none in the warmer seasons as the walks consist of some of Kentucky's greatest floral sights in tandem with all different varieties of nature.

A big playground brings hours of fun for the kids.

Sand volleyball, pickleball, soccer, and basketball and tennis courts are also available.

And the nearby AJ Jolly Golf Course provides 18 holes of award-winning golf on the banks of the AJ Jolly Lake.

GPS carts are available, which are especially helpful if you don't know the course.

Fall time at AJ Jolly brings another enjoyable experience camping in Kentucky because of how the foliage gives the entire area a warm, colorful glow.

Easily my favorite part of the AJ Jolly experience is its scenic views.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a better table in Kentucky to relax and drink in the best that nature has to offer.

After you spend time driving, biking, or walking the nature trails, take to the open water and reel in a trophy.

Fishing on the 200-acre lake at AJ Jolly is an incredible experience in its own right - especially when surrounded by the vivid fall hues. If fishing isn't your idea of a relaxing afternoon, you can rent a kayak to make your day memorable.

But nothing can beat the sun setting any time of year on these 89 camping spots, five yurts, and fantastic horse trails.
