A Former Pickle Factory Is Now A Boutique Hotel In Kentucky With Luxurious Themed Rooms

The Pickle Factory Boutique Hotel in Covington, Kentucky, offers unique and luxurious accommodations in a renovated historic building.

The Pickle Factory Boutique Hotel just opened in Kentucky, and it's kind of a big dill. This boutique hotel in Kentucky occupies the former Wenzel Building in Covington. Over the last 150 years, the building was home to a soft drink factory, steam dye company, the African-American Odd Fellows fraternal organization, and (you guessed it) a pickle factory. This historic property sat abandoned until the Covington Economic Development Authority recommended it for renovation. Now, this pickle-factory-turned-Airbnb is open and ready for guests, offering guests one-of-a-kind accommodations they're sure to relish.

The Pickle Factory Boutique Hotel is now open, and you can visit Neat Suites to learn more and book a room!

The building at the corner of Covington's Tobacco and Electric Alleys was destined for demolition, until the City of Covington stepped in.

This historic property had good bones, beautiful brickwork, and an ideal (or i-dill?) location. So in 2020, construction began to renovate this former pickle factory into a luxury boutique hotel.

Now open for guests, The Pickle Factory has eight swanky suites, and the building feels fresh and modern, yet retains much of its historic charms and features. Exposed brick and black and white photographs of Covington adorn the hallways outside each room.

And the rooms themselves are nothing short of fantastic.

The Airbnb's most noteworthy suite is the In A Pickle Retro Loft, an all-green suite that's an homage to the humble pickled cucumber.

Verdant green paint and pickle-themed decor cover the walls, and the effect is actually quite soothing!

The kitchen is a study in green that's offset with sleek, black cabinetry.

The bathroom of this pickle-themed suite boasts green tile, too; but with the kind of luxurious amenities you'd expect from a boutique hotel.

It's not all pickles at this hotel, however. The Neon Lights Studio is another standout; this suite is pure fun and whimsy.

Bright whites, bold neons, and vibrant decor make this room feel like a pop art installation.

It's so refreshing to see an old building get new life. And we have a feeling you'll be dill-ighted by this unique boutique hotel in Kentucky, too!
