Hotel Covington is a perfect celebration of the old, new, and downright timeless elements that make Kentucky shine. Located in historic Covington, Kentucky, this hotel, restaurant, and event space creates a luxurious ambiance while maintaining all of the historical authenticity that built the town it calls home. This space is a personal favorite of mine, and I was even able to spend time as a waiter there during college.

The owners of Hotel Covington chose their one-of-a-kind design by patterning their space after the historical Coppin's Department Store, which was open in the same building from 1910 to 1977. Similar to a Macy’s of the day, you will see homages scattered throughout the entire hotel.

Talk about luxury. The Knowledge Suite at Hotel Covington is named in honor of a famous racehorse of the same name and calls back to a timeless era with style in spades and comfort to match.

Coppin’s is the sort of restaurant that could easily stand alone and be a fantastic dinner location, but connecting it to the hotel and event space only makes it that much more special.

Would it really be a Kentucky hotel stay without a pour of bourbon? The Knowledge Bar at Coppin’s features an incredible bourbon selection, complete with bottle picks you won’t find anywhere else!

With a full waitstaff menu and a fireplace you’re going to want to write home about, the outdoor courtyard is the definition of a Covington summertime bucket list item.
