You’ll Never Forget Your Stay At Scales Lake, A Waterfront Campground In Indiana

Camping in Indiana is one of the downright coolest things you can do in the Midwest. Truly - the Hoosier State does NOT get the credit it's due when it comes to adventures outdoors. With 24 beautiful state parks all with their own campgrounds plus hundreds of additional campgrounds outside of our state parks, it can feel a little overwhelming to figure out where to begin. I have a suggestion for anyone looking to make their camping trip a truly memorable experience: check out the campground near Boonville, Indiana, which might also be the best in all of Warrick County.

Welcome to Scales Lake Park!

The lake offers a nice place to cool off when it's warm (or to snuggle up to when it's cold). There's also a huge waterslide open from Memorial Day weekend until August. Fun stuff!

Of course, the awesome camping is the real star of the show here, with spots for everyone no matter what their needs may be.

There are extra-large RV spots, tent-pitchin' spots, and spots with electricity and water. No matter what you're hoping to accomplish during your stay, you'll accomplish it surrounded by convenience - and Indiana's beautiful outdoors.

If a campground isn't your thing, no worries - there are also some really nice cabins available for reservation.

Each cabin has two bedrooms and sleeps up to eight people. They are fully furnished and truly a delight.

Whether you're roughing it, glamping, or calling it a night in a cabin, one thing's for certain: Scales Lake Park is an adventure.

Explore bike trails, a petting zoo, and, of course, that awesome beach. Stay for a weekend, stay for a week - just come stay a while.

My favorite part of it all? Watching the sunset - or sunrise - over the water.

It's a magical time of day and few people will be awake for sunrise, so you might get it all to yourself in a way. Might as well enjoy it!
