1. January: A stunning cabin with a private 12-acre lake - Brown County
This absolutely breathtaking vacation cabin rental in Indiana is everything you didn't know you needed in this life. Nestled in beautiful Brown County, which is often credited as the most beautiful region of the Hoosier State, is this gorgeous cabin with all the comforts of home and then some. It's a lakeside dream come true, and in the dead of winter, the hot tub outside is pure perfection. Hidden away in the Hoosier National Forest somewhere near Patoka Lake is this awe-inspiring, enormous cabin perfect for your February plans. This rental is wonderful year-round, but there's just something about a traditional log cabin-style home in the winter that's a real treat. 3. March: Magical Metamora Cottage with a fire pit, pond, and Deck - Metamora
Okay, so maybe we have a thing for cabins. But still: it's worth it. Check out this gorgeous, enormous cabin in the woods on 23 private acres that sleeps as many as 14. Sure, this makes it perfect for things like family reunions and such, but this also means you'll have an awful lot of luxurious space to yourself if you decide to make it a two-person (or solo) getaway. For more info and to book your stay, be sure to check out the official Airbnb listing. We promise this one's amazing (just like all the others on this list).
4. April: Beautiful lakeside home with game room, dock, and more - Steuben County
We cannot overstate the beauty of this property. This awe-inspiring, luxurious lakeside home is perfect for just about every occasion - especially ones in which you're hoping to just relax. The lake is far from the only draw to this amazing rental: there's also a hot tub, a heated pool, a stocked-up game room, and so much more. This one is in such high demand that you'll need to book well in advance, so be sure to check out the official listing on VRBO to begin planning ASAP. This has to be one of the best vacation rentals in Indiana.
5. May: An incredibly secluded cottage complete with hot tub, nearby National Park, and more - Miller Beach
We are hopelessly obsessed with this gorgeous little cottage nestled in the woods near beautiful Miller Beach. In close proximity is the amazing Indiana Dunes National Park, which is probably the single most amazing place in the Midwest (not that we're biased or anything). We're pretty sure it doesn't get a whole lot better than this... seriously. Check out the listing on VRBO to start planning your perfect escape to one of the best vacation destinations in Indiana.
6. June: A modern beach bungalow with all the fix in's - Miller Beach
Admittedly, we're pretty into Miller Beach in the summer. Why not, though? It's a stunning getaway with a hot tub, a fire pit, a foosball table, and everything you could ever need for an idyllic summer vacation. Visit the official VRBO listing for more photos, and to book your adventure to one of the best places to stay in Indiana ASAP.
7. July: Gorgeous home near Lake Wawasee with - you guessed it - hot tub and game room - Enchanted Hills
We're not even sure what we love the most about this amazing house and all the goodies it's got hidden within. It's a perfect summer escape for families, couples, kids, or even just a little self-care. Perhaps best of all, though, is that you can rent a pontoon boat to fully experience everything this place - and its surrounding area - has to offer. We. Are. In. Be sure to visit VRBO to start planning.
8. August: Utopia, a 19th-century cabin right on Oil Creek - Derby
If you couldn't tell, we kind of have a thing for waterfront properties. They're awesome, so we really don't blame us. This cabin is another waterfront little getaway located on the banks of Oil Creek. It was originally built in 1849, though it was moved to its current location in 2019. Live in a little piece of history... at least for a little while. The official VRBO listing will have all the details you'll need to book your stay.
9. September: Riverfront cabins perfect for two - Cass County
As summer fades and autumn begins to creep in, yet another cabin getaway is in quick order. Come out to Cass County and enjoy these adorable, small cabins that are perfect for couples or solo travelers (though they do make for a nice, romantic escape). These riverside cabins in Indiana are an ideal way to run off and get away from it all.
10. October: Woodsy cabin with old-school feel - Martin County
With as much greenery as there is surrounding this cabin, you just KNOW it's perfect for enjoying fall color at its finest. This one's amazing for watching wildlife just outside the windows, and Patoka Lake is just a stone's throw away. This might be one of our favorite Indiana cabin rentals; it's a delight and a half... and then some.
11. November: A family home that feels as cozy as yours (but isn't) - South Bend
Hoping to get away to somewhere that's luxurious and homey at the same time? Look no further than our selection for November: a gorgeous, modern family home nestled in Coquillard Woods. South Bend is known for being the town in Indiana that receives the most snow every year - so November is the perfect time to come visit, just before the madness begins! Check out the VRBO listing and plan your adventure ASAP.
12. December: Idyllic 200-year-old log home in the woods - Johnson County
And, finally, the 12th month of the year brings us this: a stunning, modern (but still two-century-old) cabin nestled in Johnson County. It sits beside a beautiful little pond that, when frozen over and surrounded by a dusting of snow, truly brings out the majesty of winter. Book your stay on the official VRBO listing well in advance.
