Davie School Inn is a historic schoolhouse from 1910 that was remodeled into a boutique inn nearly one century later in the Illinois town of Anna.

It is one of many attractions and unique stays tucked away in the Shawnee National Forest, and it sits along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.

Originally a public grade school, the institution closed in 1996 but did not become a hotel until the early 2000s. It is one of the oldest buildings in the town.

The hotel features 11 custom suites, all of which have an original chalkboard, bookcase, and hardwood floors in order to retain that schoolhouse feel.

Suites are named after different colors such as black, white, blue, purple wine, and gold romance, giving you many reasons to return time and again.

Additional amenities in some rooms include a fire place, A/C, king-sized beds, and Jacuzzi tubs.
