What better time of year is there to get out your flashlights and voice recorders and go ghost hunting? Taking place in Metropolis, Illinois, this truly exciting event for ghost hunters of all skill levels will bring out the adventurer in you. Check it out:
The old Riverview Mansion in southern Illinois was built in 1889 and has since been turned into a luxurious Victorian bed & breakfast. It's going to be hosting a ghoulish event this November.
Taking place November 1-3, 2019, Ghostology will allow guests to meet professional paranormal investigators and go on an actual ghost hunt.
Each night is limited to 16 spaces, and the cost is $15 per person. The night begins with learning about the history and craft of ghost hunting down to specific equipment used and the best places to look.
Once participants have received the 101 about ghosting, they get to become ghost hunters themselves. Lead by Gavin and Paula Kelly, the search for a ghost will take place around the mansion.
There are five unique rooms in the mansion, each more ornate than the last, and guests will get to tour them to see if they can use what they learned to pick up ghost activity.
Though this place looks charming and tranquil, its age and history lend itself to more paranormal activity than meets the eye.
Ghost hunters unite for this one-of-a-kind event. There are three days worth of spots for you to sign up for if you want to potentially see a ghost at this ancient mansion.
