Timmermann House Bed & Breakfast in southern Illinois is an old 1947 farmhouse that was remodeled in the 1990s and reopened in 1995 as a quaint place to get away from it all. Though little-known, it is certainly a charming haven that offers some serious relaxation.

This farmhouse bed & breakfast is surrounded by 100 acres of fields that stretch as far as the eye can see. Enjoy the best views of these country scenes from the back porch of this amazing old home.

Wonderful patio seating is nicely arranged on the deck. It makes for a great space to catch up with friends or make new ones as you enjoy the sights.

Revisions made to the home in 1994 not only updated the place but also doubled its size. In addition to two guestrooms, there is also ample common space for visitors to use at their leisure.

Room rates run between $286 and $308 per night with check-in between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and check-out between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

There are murals on the lower level of the home that depict gorgeous nature scenes. Rooms have private baths with very nice amenities.

A homemade breakfast is served daily between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the dining room or on the deck. Coffee is always available by 5:30 a.m. and cookies are always available to welcome guests when they check in.

According to its website, this farmhouse bed & breakfast even has its own kind of farmers market in the spring, summer, and fall. Guests may find strawberries, asparagus, or pumpkins depending on the time of year.
