The River Campground In Idaho Where You’ll Have An Unforgettable Tubing Adventure

Do you love camping season? If so, you'll definitely want to check out this unique river campground in Idaho. In fact, you don't even have to be a diehard camper to recognize that this spot is an unforgettable adventure for those who love to be on the water. Macks Creek Park is located right on the river and has all you could ever need to keep yourself entertained in the gorgeous Idaho scenery. Dig out your rafts, tubes, and kayaks from the back of the garage because you're definitely going to need them to float the river when you spend a few nights at this one-of-a-kind destination.

Tucked along the banks of the Boise River Arm of Lucky Peak Lake, Macks Creek Park is a picture-perfect campground that's begging for a visit.

This little slice of paradise is located 25 miles from the Boise area and just 4 miles from the Ponderosa Scenic Byway. It's far enough away to make you feel like you've escaped civilization, but easily accessible at the same time.

The small park offers up a handful of primitive camping spots on the water's shoreline. This makes it a recreational haven for fishing, swimming, boating, river tubing, and so much more.

The small sandy beach is perfect for lounging on during a hot day. The fact that it's completely surrounded by breathtaking mountains and forestry is definitely a plus. Even deer are known to come down to the lake for a drink.

Best of all, you can get away from the crowds at this park. All of the amenities at Macks Creek Park — including parking, recreation sites, the beach, and use of the boat ramp — are for campers only.

Macks Creek is a delightful oasis in Lucky Peak State Park and it's perfect for families looking for a quick escape to the water.

This is a seasonal campground and is typically only open between mid-May to mid-September of each year.
