3 Surprising Airbnbs Hiding in Pine Mountain, Georgia

Pack your bags and book your stay at these amazing vacation rentals in Pine Mountain, one of the best mountain towns in Georgia.

What is the best mountain town in Georgia for a weekend getaway? Without hesitation, I would answer Blue Ridge, Helen, or Elijay. Over the years, I’ve spent time in these lovely towns, and they’re worth visiting, so be sure to add them to your list. However, there is another destination in South GA that was not on my radar — but now it is!

Recently named the “Best Place to Travel for Families in 2024” by Forbes Advisor and known as the “Gateway to Callaway Gardens,” Pine Mountain could arguably be the best small town in Georgia for a weekend getaway. Luckily, I’ve found some unbelievable vacation rentals here for couples, families, or even solo travelers. Check out these pics and info for hidden Airbnbs in Pine Mountain, Georgia, to relax after a day of exploration.

1. Magnolia Meadow House

What I love the most about Pine Mountain is that it’s home to one of my bucket list destinations in Georgia: Callaway Gardens. Luckily, I found the perfect Airbnb to spend the night after soaking up the gorgeous blooms in the sanctuary. But the best part is that the stylish cottage is located inside the lovely gardens. You can’t beat that!

Welcome to the Magnolia Meadow House! With two bedrooms and four beds, this luxurious villa has enough room for up to eight guests. So, if you’re traveling with a large family or a group of friends, this is for you. The amenities here are out of this world. They include access to a waterfall swimming pool, a hot tub, several fireplaces, and large common spaces to spread out. If you want to explore the area, gather your group for a hike around Robin Lake, a scenic lake inside the gardens. Or take the kids to the Wild Animal Safari for a day of playing with the zebras and giraffes. Due to its location near so many attractions in town, this cottage might be the best Airbnb in Pine Mountain.

2. The Bear Cottage

You’ll fall in love with the rustic Bear Cabin. Tucked on the banks of a scenic creek, this two-bedroom cozy cabin can fit five guests, but I think it’s perfect for couples or solo travelers. I especially adore the outdoor swing next to the creek, which is great for morning coffees or watching the deer and wildlife frolic by. You’ll be in a heavily wooded area, so expect peace and tranquility while you’re here.

Spend your days playing board games and reading books in the sunroom. Or, if you’re searching for adventure, check out the Pine Mountain Trail at F.D. Roosevelt State Park. Since you’re only about an hour from Atlanta, enjoy the sights and sounds of the city on this food and walking tour.

3. Hamilton Cabin Retreat

If you visit Pine Mountain in winter, I recommend staying at the Hamilton Cabin Retreat. Nestled on 28 secluded acres, this gorgeous haven is great for guests seeking relaxation. The three-bedroom sanctuary has plenty of room for a large family of eight.

On the property, there is a private lake with a dock, a screened-in porch, and an outdoor fire pit for roasting complimentary s’mores. Plus, you’ll have games, a smart TV, and Wi-fi for entertainment. If I’m honest, you could easily spend your entire stay getting lost in the peacefulness of this home.

Well, folks, the next time you’re searching for a getaway in Georgia, skip the Blue Ridge Mountains and head to South Georgia instead. There is so much to do and see in this gorgeous mountain town, and now you have 3 of the best Airbnbs in Pine Mountain, Georgia, for a comfortable stay.
